“Dennis Chmelensky, whom we had already enjoyed in Verdi’s Un ballo in maschera during this edition of the Festival, transcends the character of Peter. He combines the simultaneous pleasures of hot chocolate, marshmallows, and gummy bears for instant delight. His superb licorice-like tone emanates an endless aroma, tinged with tenderness and joy. An artist to watch very closely!” — Opera Online, Thibault Vicq (Peter in Hänsel und Gretel / Verbier Festival)
